Staying at this hotel was a unique experience as the rooms were designed in a private small courtyard type setting, with various bed configurations like twin beds below and queens upstairs or former horse stall setups with ladders to reach the beds. The room layouts differed depending on the floor, with lofts in the 1st-floor rooms rented and larger rooms on the second and third floors with double or queen beds.

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were small but had lovely ceramic tile on the floor and in the bathroom. Although they were smelly, very small, and had hardly any daylight, the room led out to our own small courtyard with an outdoor shower. However, it could get stuffy and hot on warm days.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The location was fantastic, right in the heart of Zona Colonial, within walking distance of all the attractions. The service was exceptional, with staff going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. However, the noisy neighbors in the rooms next door were a major drawback, disrupting our peace and quiet during the evening.
Rooms

The hotel's location is its biggest selling point, right in the center of Zona Colonial, just a couple of blocks from the pedestrian street and within easy reach of all the sights and restaurants. However, the presence of noisy partygoers in the area made our evenings less enjoyable.
Dining

The dining experience was okay. The food was simple but good, with fresh options available. However, the under-cooked eggs were a slight disappointment compared to other dining experiences we've had.
Facilities

The facilities at the hotel were satisfactory. While there were no standout features, everything served its purpose adequately. However, a more tranquil environment in the common areas would have been appreciated.

Staying at this hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms varied in layout and size, with some featuring lofts and others offering double or queen beds, providing different experiences. The shower in the room with the large bed in the loft was a unique touch. While the price may not match the value received, the service was satisfactory, although it could have been more efficient. The location in the lively Zona Colonial of Santo Domingo was fantastic, with various attractions nearby and a safe environment. The dining experience was acceptable, offering a decent breakfast and the facilities met expectations but did not go above and beyond.
